LMLIM | Oprah is my MUA

You guys remember me doing the LMLIM Series a few months ago?  Basically because I'm such a magazine junkie I'm taking all the tips I rip from the pages, testing them out and sharing them with you.  Today's tip comes from the October 2014 issue of O Magazine.  There are four different makeup looks Ms. O is sporting for Maybelline.  Out of the looks I decided to try the one for Dramatic Eyes!  My eyes have always been my most talked about feature, well the other one you can't put make up on.  Sniggle.  Anywhos the Get The Look tearout card was really easy to follow but O's look is a bit more dramatic than mine.  She had a deeper purple to work with I think.

Fo Shizzle Fridays | Tea is Hot

Fridays are reserved for everything that The Curvy Momager considers HOT!  Have you heard???  Oprah is coming out with her own tea line via Teavana.  Yes she turned 60 and it's definitely not slowing her down!  The tea is scheduled to be released this Tuesday at Starbucks.  She worked hand in hand with the team at Teavana to come up with her perfect blend.  I personally love tea over coffee and can not wait to see what it taste like especially since we have a new Teavana that just opened up in Bakersfield about 6 months ago.  She is promising a very robust flavor full of cinnamon, ginger, cloves and cardamon -- a 'lil on the spicy side!

All of us are in luck however because to kick off the sell of the tea everyone is entitled to a free cup at Starbucks on Tuesday, April 29th in the US and Canada.  YES!!!  Check out the Tweet she sent out this week and make sure you set your alarm to go get your morning cup of Oprah Chai.

Another cool factor about this tea is not only is she giving us a cool vibe back to tea drinking BUT a portion of proceeds from the sale of all tea will benefit youth education.  One of them being her girls academy in South Africa.

Whatchu Doin Wednesdays | Livin My Life in Magazines

I have already professed to everyone how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE magazines.  Well as I was going through and getting some of the clutter out of the house I had what Mama Oprah calls an Ahh Moment.  I'm always tearing out pieces of magazines and keeping them for future reference and future reference and future reference.  Yeah you get it.  So it's time to either start using some of the advice I'm saving or throw it away.

So here's the skinny.  Over the next month each week I'll be picking a tip from each of the following categories to try out:

• Beauty
• Food
• Lifestyle (Fitness, entertaining, etc.)
• Fashion
• DIY (I'm a little nervous about this one)

Each day I'll share my experiences right here for the world to see and maybe get a chuckle out of.  It

shall be interesting.  Be sure you follow along, you might get inspired yourself.  Okay I'm off to scour through my clippings...hopefully I'll be able to tackle my clutter at the same time.
