In Video Game News

Have you seen your son this weekend?  I think mine came out when he was looking for food and quickly retreated back to his room.  Why?  NBA2K16 was released on Friday night to all that pre-ordered.  One baller not happy with the game is Paul George.  George was out last season due to a leg injury sustained during a Team USA game.  His rating in the game was lower then he felt BUT good news the game offers an update during the season so if he shows out he'll be able to move up.  Man these guys take this serious!

DEM BOYS LOOKING at SERIOUS INJURIES

In last week's game WR Dez Bryant injured himself causing him to miss a month out of the season.  Welp this week QB Tony Romo suffered a collar bone fracture - OUCH - and is suspected to be out for the same amount of time.  Good news is they are 2-0 for the season though.

HEATED HARVICK at NASCAR

Things got testy between Kevin Harvick and  Jimmie Johnson after The Sprint Cup playoffs where Harvick finished 42nd.  Being the returning champion it didn't sit well with him that Johnson made contact with him in the race forcing Harvick towards the wall.  Luckily Harvick's manager intervened after Kevin shoved Jimmie and balled his fist.  I had no idea NASCAR was like Basketball Wives LA!

KOBE RETURNS

This news is sure to make Lakers fans happy, not because he's going to make miraculous changes to the line up BUT because of the hurdles Kobe Bryant had to go through to return to the game.  It's his 20th season and he's scheduled to start practicing with the team at the end of the month.

If you don't have your high schooler registered for the SAT or PSAT get on it this week.  You can check the College Board website for test dates and fees.  Remember coaches are looking at test information as early as Junior year for athletes.

Last month I posted a foodie picture that I got from Rachel Ray's magazine and folks was goin' GAGA over it.  Soooooo I promised that I'd share the recipe below BUT be warned, it's not hard to make but you must pay attention.  Especially when your shrimp are "roasting" in the oven.  Those boogers are so sensitive.  GEESH!

If you make it post a picture and tag me.  It's great with a glass of wine.  I actually felt like I was having a grown up meal instead of the usually hamburger or spaghetti I make around here.  Who knows cooking just might be my new thing - nah, but eating is always going to be.  (Giggles)
