I have a small secret! My eyebrows are freaking perfect....yup P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Have you heard about a procedure called microblading? If not don't worry I'm going to give you the 411. I'd call it a two step process because after the initial visit a 2nd one is required to keep you looking oh so flyyy for up to a year.
Let's start here. When first approached about this procedure this is what I had in mind ===============>
Trust me it's far from that. But I really didn't get the whole eyebrow drawy thingy and always told my daughter NOT to do it when she was practicing after watching her MUA YouTube videos all day. I just thought it unnecessary to make your brows look well, unnatural. The microblading process is far from that. My specialist, Bash has me looking younger than my 46 years with just two sessions. The other day someone told me they thought I was 35. MMMMk I'm not looking that young (Botox is up next tho) but it definitely has me looking like a contender.
Now first I'm going to put this out there, there is pain. Not excruciating pain but yes slight I could grab my nose hairs and make this feel better pain but it's toward the end of the procedure. Numbing cream is generously applied to help with the first 10 - 20 minutes of tattoo artistry of strokes that create a fuller brow. I'm not going to detail each step because it's something you need to experience for yourself but be prepared for some hieroglypics on your forehead to assist in getting the perfect size and shaped brow. The process takes between 30 - 40 minutes and is worth each one baby.
After getting home one of my worst fears came true...my brows were soooooooo dark! Kinda Burt from Sesame Street dark. I was the only one that felt that way though. Can't we all be our worst critic? I was feeling some sorta way but Bash reassured me that they would lighten up. After the scarring process I saw immediate results of that. If you have a tattoo then you know what this is like, microblading is no different except its all up on your forehead for everyone to see. After a few days of burrowing my head down when passing others in the hallway I started to see some freakin awesome results however. In other words, "I'm Lovin' It!" *in my McDonalds commercial voice.
Know what else I love? Bash is letting me offer a special discount to my blogger and social media buds. The Summer Special deal of $350 will be going up to $499 after 8/31/17, it also includes the 6 week touch up. But peep this, mention The Curvy Momager when calling to make your appointment and you can get $25 off your services until 12/31/17! To make an appointment contact Bash at 818-430-1106, you'll be required to place a deposit down to secure your appointment too.
Drop me a line if you decide to get your brow life together or have any questions. You know The Momager is always there for her #MomSquad.

Moms with March Madness
The college basketball season is official over and congrats to UNC on claiming the title (insert shady emoji here) for 2017! It was a horribly long and ref whistling induced game but if you are a fan of the game like my Momager friends you watched to the bitter end. My #BlueDevils suffered an early exit from the brackets but there's always next year right?
Speaking of brackets I'll have to give kudos to Ashley Willis, a mom that knows how to pick em! Ashley had UNC as her fav to win the tourney. Out of my 4 bball mama friends she was the only one To Go All The Way [said in my Dick Vitale voice]. Trust me it's not easy picking a winner when it comes to bracketology, for myself my bracket was busted the first round BUT I was a 50%er when it came to the Final Four. Unlike some of my fellow bracket playing mamas I don't use a system to figure out who's going to win. I normally go with seeding and team likeability and mostly geographic location. As an example Laura Fantroy roots hard for the Spartans because she's a Michigander while Christa Miller is a die hard LA girl and picked UCLA to take the crown. I'm sure Lavar Ball was happy about that one. If you don't get that reference then you need to up your game girl and hang with my Mommie Fab Four.
Take for example Cristina Aruta, mom of Whittier PG Jacob Aruta. She gets so deep in bracket play that her knowledge gained her a winning of $500 in an office pool one year. Her other reward was being shunned by the men in the office from future play. Where they do that at? When can the ladies get some RESPEK on their names?

After talking with my Fab Four here are some stats that stood out to me about bracket play:
No matter if we picked a winner or not, it's uber fun participating in one of the most loved sports activities of the year. I'm certain that next year each of my Fab Four as well as myself will once again take on the challenge and gain bragging rights for our favorite teams win or lose. It's March and the Madness isn't just for the guys, us moms are gaining our rightful spot as bracket masters and we won't be denied. See ya in 2018 and Go Blue Devils!!!!
- 100% of the moms use a formalized system to choose brackets. You name it NCAA, CBS, ESPN and the USA Today systems were used. Electronic systems are favored.
- There really is no formula for selecting winners. Mom Ashley fell into it because she had no other option but to watch so she joined in on the fun and now makes sure she watches till the final game.
- Why we play.....It's a bonding experience for moms with their mates and other family members.
- Biggest upsets this year were Duke and Villanova.
- Most of us don't know what conference our favorite team is in.
- We all watch a variety of sports BUT college is by far our favorite.
- Let's just say trash talking isn't just for the fellas.

Sports news from a Momagers' POV......
Chargers with the New New
The Chargers had a week full of change. First they decided to move to LA for the 2017 Season and change or should I say copy the Dodgers logo. All while San Diego fans tried so hard to remain loyal but received the ultimate foul after being snubbed by the owner's non-invite to his Welcome to LA Bash. With two pro football teams in LA and 4 (possibly 3 with Oakland moving) in the state it would seem that this not be a good move especially since the Rams just came back. My Momager antennas are up, there's something stinky with this move. I'll keep my carmel corn out waiting to see what happens. In the meantime rate the new logo in the comments section on a scale from 1 (They took a bigger L then Meek Mill) or 4 (Drake status). I'll share the results on my upcoming podcast.
K to the L to the A to the IzzY
Klay Thompson has always been a winner. Recently his ala mater, Santa Margarita, retired his #1 jersey. This is pretty major as no other player will be able to sport the #1 on their Eagles jersey EVER! I guess taking the team to a championship in 2008 and then becoming a NBA Champ he definitely deserves the honor. Klay's message to the ceremony crowd was about enjoying their time while in high school. He was reminded of how much fun he had during his four years at the school and that he owed the school for what they did for him. What a class act! No pun intended.
A Sweet GiveAWay
The Cleveland Browns have linked up with University Hospital, The Ohio Lottery and Xenith Helmets to sponsor a major giveaway to high school football teams in Ohio. Their #BrownsGiveBack initiative is geared toward promoting health and safety among young athletes. Schools are encouraged to become Heads UP certified and then enroll in the give away. Heads UP certification is for coaches to teach kinds the safe way to play the sport. To enter the contest visit www.clevelandbrowns.com/fans-and-kids/promotions.html

Sports news from a Momager's POV......
President Obama beats Steph Curry
Have you seen it? Steph Curry actually loses to President Obama in Connect Four. It is the cutest but uber smart video by My Brother's Keeper, a mentorship program for young men. Barack also shows Steph how to professionally do a resume, reads to him from Audacity of Hope but he ends with helping him clean up his shot. You can watch the video (and be sure to share it) below. Last week the President met with other African American celebrities and notable figures to highlight the MBK program. Way to go Prez!
NBA Advertising on Jerseys - Not feelin it
The NBA has announced that staring with the 2017 season advertisers will get their chance to advertise on player jerseys. HATED IT! I really think this stinks but I don't run the company and it's a business move certainly. I just really hope they don't get outrageous with it. There is way too much advertisement everywhere else: The floor, the mop that cleans the floor, arenas inside and out - GEESH enough already. Can't await to previews these jerseys and really is that going to impact you purchasing an item because a player has it on his jersey? I dunno but hear the NFL might be next.
Sheryl Swoopes Causing a Stir
It's being reported that former WNBA All Star Sheryl Swoops is having player management problems over at Loyola. Apparently 12 players have asked for a transfer or to be released from their scholarships. Players are stating that Swoopes treatment of individual players and her demeanor are the cause for the mass exodus. Administration has launched an investigation and ensure student-athlete mistreatment will not be tolerated. The teams record until Swoops since 2013 is 31-62. Not all players are meant to coach.
MOM School
Well ladies I'm working on video segments of Mom School so stay tuned but until then check out a ref foul call that all bball mamas need to learn about.
Defensive Three Seconds: A defensive player is not allowed inside the key area for more than three seconds unless he is
guarding the player with the ball or is actively guarding any opponent. To be considered actively guarding, a defender must be within an arms length of his opponent. If an offensive player moves through the key, the defender must be within an arms length, and also move along with the offensive player. He can not just stand there and put his arms out to the new three-second count.

Step Curry gets Waxed

Kyrie having love triangle issues
Seems that Cleveland Cavs PG Kyrie Irving had a serious case of the Monday's this week. The players well known girlfriend, Kehlani, was photoged by her ex in bed holding hands to which he placed the photo on social media proclaiming the rekindled love. No big deal, people fall in and out of love all the time right? Well after said photo was published by some guy that I've never heard of the internets were all a blaze and memes popped up every place. Look folks this isn't major I'm sure Kyrie will be quick to move on from this torrid soul. After all he did just have a little one with a one night stand. But you don't see me judging.
Momager Tip - Newest in first aid
And lastly this week, I've found a great new accessory to add to your Momager bags. A few days ago The Phenom suffered a busted chin (tooth went straight through) and needed stitches. With a tourney just a few days away he was determined to play so I had to cover up the stitches, incase you know some more 'bows were thrown. O Magazine featured a new bandage for toned skin a while back and I happened to order some just in time to arrive for this special occasion. [Notice my sarcasm here okay] Yes these bandages saved the day and helped blend in with the Chocolate Mambas skin tone. Me likey likey this product for real and won't be leaving home without them. Pop over to their sight and order yours at www.trucolourbandages.com
in three different shades. Tell 'em the Curvy

Curvy Momager Sport Report | 3 21 16
Well this post has taken a minute to put up. I guess that's what happens when things start exploding! But its always great to get back to your roots so here goes....
Prayers up for Craig Sager
We are sadden to hear about the return of Craig's leukemia and his continued battle. The infamous
sportscaster will be featured on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel tonight discussing his recent doctors report. Not only do I love seeing Craig during the NBA games but really love his appreciation for the game and the players. Praying for you Sager!
Busted, Disgusted and Can't be Trusted
Yes it's that time of the year where we all attempt to find the golden ticket to who will win the bracket challenge. This year has been no different for me because my bracket was busted the second day. Can you say Michigan State? How does that happen? Welp it's still been such an amazing bout of games I finally threw away my tissue and enjoyed the weekend's worth of games. Great to see one of my Momager girlfriends DeAndre Bembry lead his St. Joe's team past a first round win. Oregon banged out on them in the end but these are the stories March Madness is made of.
Mom School
Alright mom's time to get your learn on. What would you say is one thing you get wrong when watching your favorite MVP play? Foul calls? Don't worry me too, I ain't shame to admit that I yell at zebras and don't have a clue, well sometimes. So this week's Mom School is dedicated to the travel foul call.
This call is called more than any other in games, the travel call. When the ref rotates his arms as pictured below a player has taken a step on the court and not dribbled the ball. This call can cause the ball to be turned over to the other team. It's difficult to detect sometimes especially with players that travel the floor quickly but sometimes it's extremely obvious and never called, hello James Harden! Now here's a bonus. If your player shoots and the ball doesn't hit the rim, backboard or hoop and they attempt to touch the ball they will get a whistle, according to NBA rules.
